Born and raised in New Jersey, Jen graduated with a BS in Exercise Movement Science from William Paterson University where she played softball and went on to spend 11 years teaching as a Health and Physical Educator and Coach as well as an active member in the NEA, NJEA, and the NJAHPERD.

She has spent the past six years at Renegade Strength & Conditioning, LLC training clients alongside her husband and training partner, Jason Ferrugia.

With a passion for nutrition and an ongoing curiosity for experimenting with healthy lifestyle options, new techniques, and tips and tricks, Jen is a firm (pun intended) believer in functional strength training using barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and advanced bodyweight exercises., as well as encouraging mental strength and bare body confidence. All of which, she adores sharing with others, online and in person.
